In a recent article published in MarketWatch, Keith Springer provides analysis following a week of upheaval in commodities. “Now that earnings season is behind us, there is currently no good news to push stocks higher until we start to get the next quarter’s expectations, which should be very good,” he said.
U.S. stocks finished lower Friday, pulling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory for the week, as investors fretted about the recovery.
For every stock that rose Friday, more than two fell on the New York Stock Exchange, where more than 898 million shares had traded by the close of the trading session.
